Playwriting for Social Justice with Julia Rosenblatt

Playwriting is activism when large societal problems are broken down into relatable, human stories. Do you have a story to tell? Do you have an issue that you want to bring to the stage? In this three-part series, Julia will coach each participant through their specific play idea/s while teaching elements of dramatic structure, plot and character arc. Open to any and everyone, regardless of experience.

    Poetic Perspectives with Laugh Sanchez

In this four-week program, students will explore their relationship to the world and to themselves. First they will interrogate how they experience the world through their senses. Then they will develop an understanding of how to expand their experience through writing exercises and creative imaging. This will lead to the creation of compelling Spoken Word pieces, but more importantly, toward a deeper understanding of their own empathy. Open to any and everyone, regardless of experience
