Virtual Classes for Horror Writers with Wi-Moto Nyoka
Listening To What Scares Us is a writing workshop where horror is our goal and fear is our weapon. In this workshop participants will develop short prose and plays for audio by exploring what terrifies us and how to use horror as means to face the monsters together. In Listening To What Scares Us we will examine the role of horror today, create individual and group audio horror stories based on our own fears, and receive supportive feedback. Come through, write, and listen to some scary stories.
For BIPOC adults interested in writing/exploring horror fiction:
Facing the Monsters Together is a writing workshop wherein horror is our goal and fear is our weapon. In this creative writing shell, participants will develop stories that shock by use of visual, musical, and literary prompts. Here, we will explore what terrifies you, and how to use horror as a means to process your fears. In Facing the Monsters Together create our own horror rules based on our own personal fears, begin to craft our own horror stories, and receive supportive feedback without fear or favour. Don’t be scurred.
